Savory Baked Spaghetti with Homemade Meatballs

☆Ingredients:

1 egg, lightly beaten
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 pound (450g) spaghetti
1 pound (450g) ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

☆Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add chopped onion and bell pepper. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Return meatballs to skillet and add marinara sauce. Stir to coat meatballs evenly with sauce.
In the prepared baking dish, spread half of the cooked spaghetti. Top with half of the meatball mixture. Repeat layers with remaining spaghetti and meatballs.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
