- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
- Melt the butter and add it to the mashed bananas. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the sugar and egg to the banana mixture, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the sour cream and chopped nuts (if using).
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for approximately 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
