Cheesy Pull-Apart Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf of Italian bread or French bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Prepare the Bread:
    • Using a serrated knife, make diagonal cuts into the bread, about 1 inch apart, without cutting all the way through to the bottom. Repeat in the opposite direction to create a grid pattern, making sure not to cut through the bottom crust.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Coat the Bread:
    • Brush the garlic butter mixture generously all over the top and inside the cuts of the bread, making sure it gets into all the crevices.
  5. Add the Cheese:
    • Stuff the shredded mozzarella cheese into the cuts of the bread, ensuring each cut is filled with cheese. Press down gently to compact the cheese.
    • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the bread.
  6. Wrap and Bake:
    • Wrap the bread loosely in foil, leaving the top exposed.
    • Place the bread on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Broil (Optional):
    • If you prefer a golden, crispy top, you can broil the bread for an additional 1-2 minutes after baking. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
  8. Serve:
    • Carefully transfer the cheesy pull-apart garlic bread to a serving platter or board.
    • Serve warm, allowing everyone to pull apart the cheesy, garlicky slices.

Enjoy the irresistible combination of gooey melted cheese and buttery garlic flavor in this cheesy pull-apart garlic bread! It’s perfect for sharing and sure to be a hit at any gathering.
