Lasagna Alfredo with chicken

Ingredients

9 lasagna noodles

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup ricotta cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

★Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In another bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.

Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.

Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Spread half of the chicken mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, and a layer of Alfredo sauce.

Repeat the layers: noodles, remaining chicken mixture, remaining ricotta mixture, and Alfredo sauce.

Top with the remaining 3 lasagna noodles, the remaining Alfredo sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
