Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1/2 chopped green pepper
1 chopped yellow onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter
24 packages of spring rolls
12 slices of your Favorite cheese, halved (provolone or American cheese work great)
3/4 cup vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

Directions: Start by melting the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and green pepper and sauté until soft and fragrant.
Cooking the meat: Add the minced meat to the pan and fry until brown. Season the meat mixture with Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and mix well.
Cool: Allow the beef mixture to cool slightly so that it is easier to handle when rolling the spring rolls.
Assembling the spring rolls: Place the spring roll packet on a clean surface and position it like a diamond with one corner facing you. Place half a slice of cheese diagonally in the middle.
Add topping: Pour about 2 tablespoons of beef mixture over the cheese.
The perfect roll: Fold the bottom corner over the filling and seal tightly. Fold in the side corners and continue rolling tightly.Dampen the top corner with a little water to help seal the roll better.
Repeat: Continue this process with the remaining casings and filling.
Fry to perfection: Heat vegetable oil in a pan or deep fryer to 175°C (350°F). Fry the spring rolls in batches until evenly browned and crispy, usually about 2-3 minutes per side.
Drain: Once the spring rolls are perfectly cooked, transfer them to a plate lined with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
Serve and Enjoy: Serve these golden beauties warm with your favorite sauce, whether it’s a spicy marinara, creamy horseradish or a simple spicy ketchup.
