Vegetable Pastry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3 hot peppers
  • 2 green onions
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams feta cheese
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1.5 cups milk (1 cup = 200ml)
  • 3.5 cups flour
  • 2 packs baking powder (1 pack = 8g)
  • Grated cheddar cheese for topping

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:
    • Finely chop the potatoes, tomatoes, hot peppers, and green onions.
  2. Prepare the Batter:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and salt.
    • Add the chopped vegetables, feta cheese, oil, and milk to the bowl. Mix well.
    • Gradually add the flour and baking powder to the mixture, stirring until combined into a smooth batter.
  3. Bake the Pastry:
    • Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
    • Grease a baking sheet with margarine and spread the batter evenly onto it.
  4. Add Topping:
    • Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese evenly over the batter.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
    • Slice and serve warm.
