*NECESSARY INGREDIENTS:
°250 grams of self-rising flour.
°Kosher salt.
°1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning.
°½ tsp black pepper.
°Buttermilk; I used 4 cups.
°To fry, I used vegetable oil.
°1 kg. medium shrimp; peeled.
*PREPARATION:
Step 1
Mix flour, 1 tablespoon salt, Old Bay seasoning and black pepper in a shallow pan.
Step 2
Put the buttermilk in a separate bowl on the small side. Put the oil in a medium-sized cast iron casserole or pan and heat it over medium-high heat until it reaches 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 3
Meanwhile, wipe the shrimp and slide them into the flour mixture the first time, then coat them with buttermilk and pour them into the flour mixture the second time.
Step 4
After each coat, shake the shrimp quickly to remove the flour or dough.
Step 5
Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes). The shrimp must be transferred to a tray that has been lined with paper towels using a slit spoon.
Step 6
Add more salt, depending on your preference. Like fried shrimp, you can see that you need to increase the heat to keep the oil at a constant temperature between 350 and 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 7
While you cook the remaining lots, keep the fried shrimp warm in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit
Enjoy !
