CAKE MIX ITALIAN CREAM CAKE

Making an Italian Cream Cake using a cake mix is a convenient way to achieve a delicious dessert with less effort. Here’s a simple recipe for a Cake Mix Italian Cream Cake:

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 1 box (about 15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (for decorating, optional)

Instructions:

For the Cake:

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box.
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Fold in the shredded coconut and chopped nuts.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  6. Bake according to the instructions on the cake mix box or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
