Irresistible Molten Mozzarella Biscuit Bombs

Molten Mozzarella Biscuit Bombs are a delightful appetizer or snack that combines the cheesy goodness of mozzarella with the buttery, flaky texture of biscuit dough. These delicious bombs are easy to make and perfect for parties, game days, or any occasion where you want to impress your guests with a cheesy, gooey treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 8 small mozzarella cheese balls or 8 cubes of mozzarella cheese (about 1 inch each)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a round disk, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Add the Cheese: Place a mozzarella cheese ball or cube in the center of each biscuit disk. Fold the edges of the dough over the cheese, pinching them together to seal and form a ball. Make sure the cheese is completely enclosed by the dough.
  4. Season the Biscuits: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush the top of each biscuit bomb with the seasoned butter mixture.
  5. Bake: Place the biscuit bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuit bombs are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve: Remove the biscuit bombs from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Tips:

  • Cheese Alternatives: You can use other types of cheese like cheddar, pepper jack, or gouda for different flavor profiles.
  • Add-ins: For extra flavor, you can add a small piece of pepperoni, a basil leaf, or a bit of cooked sausage inside with the cheese.
  • Storage: If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.

Enjoy these molten mozzarella biscuit bombs, and watch them disappear in no time!
