Fluffy Homemade Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups of milk
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Whisk in the melted butter, egg, and milk until the batter is smooth. Allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
  4. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the hot skillet.
  5. Cook the pancakes for 2 to 3 minutes, until bubbles start to form on the edges and in the center.
  6. Carefully flip the pancakes and cook them until they are golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes more.
