Heavenly Banana Blondies with Brown Butter Frosting

Ingredients:

For the Banana Blondies:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 1 large banana)

For the Brown Butter Frosting:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • Mixing bowls

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Make Blondie Batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
    • Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
    • Mix in mashed bananas and salt.
    • Gently fold in flour just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  3. Bake:

  5. Frost Blondies:
    • Spread the brown butter frosting evenly over the cooled blondies.
    • Allow the frosting to set before slicing into squares.
  6. Serve:
    • Cut into squares and serve. These blondies are best enjoyed at room temperature or slightly warmed.
