Every time I make these, which I have been doing for years, people go crazy. They appear to be a unique handmade

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
For the Crust
Yellow cake mix (dry) 1 box
Melted butter 8 tablespoons
Egg 1
For the Gooey Layer
Cream cheese (softened) 8 oz
Eggs (beaten) 2
Powdered sugar 16 oz

Preparation

Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
Make the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the dry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until smooth and well-combined. Pat the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.

Make the gooey layer: In a separate large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the beaten eggs and beat for a couple of minutes. Gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until well-combined.

Assemble: Pour the gooey layer evenly over the prepared crust.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until done. Do not overbake.
Cool: Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
