BACON-WRAPPED SMOKIES WITH BROWN SUGAR AND BUTTER

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Toothpicks
  • Olive oil for brushing

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, melted butter, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to create a smoky, sweet glaze.
  3. Take each chicken breast and season it lightly with salt and black pepper. This will enhance the flavor of the chicken.
  4. Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks to keep the bacon in place.
  5. Brush the bacon-wrapped chicken with the smoky glaze on all sides, making sure to coat it evenly. The sweet and savory glaze will caramelize during baking, adding a mouthwatering flavor.
