For those who have even the slightest sweet tooth, this is a recipe for those who are not faint of heart. The great taste of chocolate brownie combined with banana pudding.
How do I thicken the pudding to make it work in this recipe?
I mixed together 6 ounces of cream cheese and ⅓ cup of milk and then mixed it in the banana pudding mix with it. This will create more of a cake/brownie texture.
Should I mix it all together?
NO! You will be swirling the cheesecake/pudding through the brownie batter to make it more of a marbled look.
Do I make the pudding?
What do you need to make Banana Pudding Brownies
1 box Brownie mix
2 eggs
3 tbsp vegetable oil
5 tbsp water
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
⅓ cup milk
FIRST STEP:
HOW TO MAKE THESE BROWNIES
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. (Or if you prefer using parchment paper to bake, that’s ok too!) Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the brown sugar and melted butter. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well. (You can use a hand mixer or an electric mixer but a spoon should work just as well.)
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Then add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix together until a dough forms.
- Place the dough into the baking dish and spread it evenly to all corners. Set the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, blend together the cream cheese and the pudding mix. Then slowly add the eggs and milk. You’ll want to blend it for 3-5 minutes to get it nice and thick.
- After 25 minutes, remove the brownies and pour the pudding mixture on top of the brownie, spreading it in to an even layer.
- Add Vanilla Wafers on top of the pudding layer. (We used about 15 but feel free to use more!)
- Place the baking dish back into the oven and bake for another 25 to 30 minutes.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven and let the brownies completely cool before serving.
- I have a feeling this ultimate banana pudding brownie recipe, may just become a new delicious dessert recipe to take to any get-together or to enjoy when a sweet tooth strikes!
