Creamy Lemon Dessert Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Lemon Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice. Whisk until the mixture thickens slightly. The acidity of the lemon juice will help thicken the condensed milk.
  2. Whip the Cream:
    • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. If you prefer a sweeter dessert, you can add the powdered sugar to the cream as it whips.
  3. Combine and Mix:
    • Gently fold the whipped cream into the lemon mixture. Add the lemon zest and continue to fold until well combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream too much.
  4. Chill:
    • Pour the mixture into a serving dish or individual cups. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the dessert is well chilled and set.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the creamy lemon dessert chilled. You can garnish with extra lemon zest or a slice of lemon if desired.
